Summer is in full swing and that means grilling. Something about summer makes us want to cook on a grill, eat outside, and socialize. So why not indulge in the urge and have a barbeque, with a sophisticated touch. Try having a white wine at your grilling party. White wines are more suitable to summer because of their less decadent tastes and aromas than reds. While often paired with fish, it is becoming more common knowledge that whites also pair wonderfully with pork. Originally thought too daring, it is now accepted as a wonderful pairing to put pork with white wines. Try reflecting a flavor from the white you pick onto the pork. For example if you pick a citrusy white, than add some citrus to the pork.
But say you are told to bring the wine for a dinner party, bring white. In fact fill a four bottle wine carrier with it because it will certainly be a hit with the food. White is just the perfect wine that will go great with pretty much any summer foods. So buy some white wine and have a barbeque; indulge all of the desires that we all get during the summer to grill and socialize.
