Before Starbucks became a household word coffee was simple to order and something that most people never put much thought into. Only a select few put extra attention into their coffee beans and how their favorite cup was brewed. Now Starbucks has opened a new prototype café that features not only their premium coffee and tea but beer and wine as well.
The café, Roy Street Coffee & Tea, opened in November of 2009 in Seattle and features the coffee and tea you would expect but the alcoholic beverages are something new. The menu includes beer from regional breweries as well as wines from vineyards in the Washington and Oregon area. With several sparkling wines, reds as well as whites available patrons can try many types of wine in a relaxing atmosphere.
While the café does have a extensive bakery they currently are not offering a wine bottle cheese board loaded with fruits and cheese but it would not be surprising for this to be added. Customers can enjoy their beverages while listening to live music or watching films from the monthly film series making the atmosphere just as inviting as the menu and drink selection.
