Italian wines are increasing in quality and recognition. Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi claimed that Italian wine was better than French wine. However in addition to quality, developing export markets as a big priority from the Italian wine market. The Chinese and American markets, in particular, are being targeted for expansion.
