Most people think of having Italian food with an Italian wine, it just seems to make sense to them. But with a growing fan base for wine in China, it makes even more sense to try pairing wine with Chinese food in tribute. While good pairings with Chinese food are just being fully delved into, it has been found that long beans goes great with a light red wine. In fact a great way to prepare the long beans is to stir fry them with beef. The beef makes sense to put it with a red while the lighter long beans make it a better summer dish. Flavor it with whatever you feel like, though a light soy sauce, water and garlic mix is recommended. Just chop the garlic and mix about one part soy sauce into two of water.
Try a simple set up with all purpose wine glasses and this stir fry served with rice for a simple Asian flavored and wine enjoyment experience. Of course trying other things like this should really open up the variety of foods you enjoy with your wine. You may find that you like Asian cuisine with a good vintage.
