Try a simple set up with all purpose wine glasses and this stir fry served with rice for a simple Asian flavored and wine enjoyment experience. Of course trying other things like this should really open up the variety of foods you enjoy with your wine. You may find that you like Asian cuisine with a good vintage.

If a wine has the right room in the glass to release its aromas and the right neck than a good wine can really live and become a great experience.

Chardonnay wine glasses for example have a narrower bowl and slightly tapered opening. The narrower bowl keeps temperatures cooler for longer and the barely there taper in the opening doesn’t trap the light aromas inside. Of course for most, buying a set of glasses for every type of wine is a little impractical, so maybe buy a set meant for your favorite wine and than a general tulip shaped set of glasses for all of the others. The tulip shape is a nice general one for most wines but people know that the shape of a glass can really make a wine stand up and stand out.

We are in the hot middle of summer, when if it is not hidden away in the air conditioning than it gets warm. Friends of picnics know this can ruin your food and drinks but it can also ruin wine. Wine is meant to stay chilled, or its flavors suffer. Reds can lose their aromas and let the alcohol take over while whites lose their crispness becoming bland and buttery. If you don’t think that those outcomes sound good than you should keep your glass away from the sun and heat. But that is no fun, its summer so you want to enjoy the outdoors.

An easy way to keep your wine from flattening out and getting too warm is to put it on ice. Just place the bottle in a bucket of ice out of the sun and remind guests not to fill their amplifier pro wine glasses too full. If it is really hot that day than you can also add some simple water and salt brine to the bucket of ice that you put the bottle in. Salt lowers the melting point of ice, which means that your wine will have more cool to counteract the heat of the day. This should make your summer more enjoyable.

The newest hot thing in wine accessories is also one of the oldest. Stemless wine glasses, or wine tumblers as they are sometimes called, have been around for a long time in Italy and have only recently rocketed back into fashion. You may want to have the trendiest wine accessories but surely you are wondering, are they worth it? Surely they are not that different from normal wine glasses, after all they are the same except with a flat bottom, right? Wrong, they are trendy and durable eye catchers.

Stemless wine glasses are a wonderfully simple looking alternative to traditional crystal. But they are not the same as normal tumblers, like the ones used for liqueurs, because like normal stemmed wine glasses the stemless versions are made of crystal, not glass, to better agitate the wine and entice out the aromas in it. Every good wine enthusiast knows that swirling the wine around to draw out the deeper aromas is part of the whole experience.

Another great thing about these chic versions of your boring old stemware is they are much less liable to break. Thanks to how much lower they sit than normal glasses, they are not as likely to break if they tip over because the fall is shorter. Not to mention you do not have to worry about breaking the stem, because they do not have one. Also they fit nicely in a normal cabinet, unlike normal stemmed glasses.

Plus on a whole these lovely tumblers are beautiful change from the norm. They can be played up like it is the hottest new thing and should be in only the most exclusive bars. Or you can play them down, like you just happen to have the same glasses as an old restaurant in Italy. They are indeed worth the money spent.

One of the most popular white wines on the market comes from the chardonnay grape. This green skinned type of grape originated in the south of France but really did not come into its own until winemakers in California began growing this variety to create their amazing white wines.

Now the most widely planted variety of grape worldwide used in winemaking the resulting chardonnay is a ideal white wine for serving with many meals. Considered by many to be a dry wine this variety pairs well with poultry, seafood, and even some light red meat dishes. For a wine and cheese party Chardonnay will pair up perfectly wit brie, provolone, and gruyere.

To get the most from this white wine it should be consumed from Chardonnay wine glasses to truly enjoy its flavor. These glasses are designed with a wide mouth and tall chimney to direct the wine to the center of the tongue and diffuse the alcohol in order for the flavors to come through.

Wine lovers should look for wine glasses which are made from lead free crystal to add to their stemware holders in order to get the best experience possible from this premium white wine.

Many novice wine enthusiasts falsely believe that having a set of good crystal wine glasses is all that is needed to get the best flavor from their favorite wines. But there is more to choosing the right wine glass and the selection will vary from wine to wine. For this reason serious wine lovers spend a considerable amount of time building up a varied collection of wine glasses for each type of wine they enjoy.

When drinking Bordeaux it is important to get glasses that are designed to bring out the flavor of this red wine for the best experience. Bordeaux wine glasses are tall with a broad bowl for holding the beverage. This large bowl gives plenty of room for swirling this full bodied red wine. This will increase the complex taste while minimizing any negative smells from overripe grapes. The design also directs the wine to the back of the mouth where the flavor is greater enhanced for the best taste experience from each bottle of wine.

Having the right wine glasses for each type of wine can make every bottle that a wine enthusiast opens its absolute best as opposed to being only average.

Wine has been a chosen drink for many for over thousands of years with archeology constantly finding more and more evidence of large scale wine production. So for as far back as it is known wine, especially red wine, has needed decanting to remove sediment and allow the air to improve flavor. While the earliest recorded uses of wine involved storage and serving in clay jars, the first evidence of glass is as far back as 5,000BC in Syria.

Of course it was the Roman Empire which expanded the use of glass for wine storage and even wine decanters. Though these were still not the same quality crystal decanters which become the standard it was a far cry from the clay jars which allowed wine to turn to vinegar if left around too long.

These advances in not only wine bottles and serving glasses but wine decanters has made enjoying wine an experience that is more than just something for the rich and elite. Now everyone can consume fine wine and get the most from every bottle they open to share with their family and friends.

Wine enthusiast know that when consuming any wine having a glass big enough to swirl the liquid around inside is important for getting the full flavor and experience of each bottle opened. But for red wine in particular having large glasses means having plenty of space for the wine to come into contact with the air.

While every red wine should be properly aerated preferably in a crystal wine decanter using large wine glasses can do the trick as well in a pinch. With plenty of surface area not only will the glass be ideal for swirling the wine inside but will give plenty of area for the wine to come into contact with the air.

Of course there is more to picking a good wine glass for each serving than just finding the biggest bowl. There has been a whole study on wine glasses and their shapes and how each type of wine will respond to bowl sizes both in width and height. So for the wine enthusiast who is wanting to ensure they are getting the best possible experience each and every time research should be done on not only the wine but wine glasses to serve them in as well. Having all the wine accessories you need is important for getting the most from your wine.

We know how everyone feels about green beer on St. Patrick’s Day, but what about wine? Do people really drink wine on St. Patrick’s Day? Of course they do! It is a day of food, festivities, a lot of conversation, and of people just having a great time. However, it is important to know what wines are the best when celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. There are some Irish wines out there, but it is important to know that you may a tough time finding that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

You may, however, be able to find Irish wines in Irish bars. They are serving up the green beer, they are celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, so it is only right that they may have tried and succeeded at acquiring an Irish wine. It’s just that Irish wines are usually distributed locally in Ireland or they are made for specific restaurants, but it is possible to get lucky.

Nevertheless, you could find your wine glasses filled with a genuine Irish wine or something else that is quite comparable. When partying it up on St. Patrick’s Day, what you need to do is take a look at the St. Patrick’s Day menu and see what wines they are offering. It is fair to say that whatever is on that menu is going to be comparable to anything you could receive in Ireland. Basically, you’ll get the idea, which is a good thing. Either way, you’re going to have a blast. You’ll be filling your wine glasses one right after the other.

It is also important to take into consideration that there are certain foods that certain wines go with. Depending on where you are celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, remember to stick with the menu and see what it is the menu says, if it says, anything about what foods will go well with what wines. You can even ask the serving staff and see if they know. They may not know everything, but it is possible that they may have a general idea of what will go together and what won’t. This is so you can have the best experience possible. Sure, you may get intoxicated, but why else are you drinking alcohol on St. Patrick’s Day. Go ahead and have a good time by enjoying the wine, the party, the great conversation, and the fun.
