An Excellent Wine for Entertaining - Domaine du Pouy 2006

'Tis the season for cocktail parties and office shindigs…which is how we rediscovered an old favorite from the days of summer.

While its hint of apples and pears may suggest a summer wine, we found the light minerality mingled nicely with holiday party hors d'oeuvres.  At an average price of $7.50 per bottle, this vibrant wine, crafted from the same grape as Armagnac and Cognac, is an excellent value.  We may even pick up a case this season…it's a perfect white for parties.
